So last night I finally ate at the bubba gumps here. It wasn't that great, they didn't even ask trivia or anything. It was fun though, its in this 3 story mall. A few days ago I sent packages to Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Jenny, Catherine, and Carolynn. So please let me know when they all arrive. Also in a few minutes I am thinking about joining the army myself so I am going to talk to a recruiter, this way I don't have to be by myself with Christopher deploys in January and by the time I finish basic and AIT It will be about time for him to come home. Since we are married they do have to keep us at the same duty sation, we can't get deployed at the same time, and we get about 4 grand a month just for housing, not to mention they will pay for me to go to school. I talked to a Srg yesterday and he said that since I have some college units I can most likely enlist as an E3. So me and Christopher will be pretty well off, not to mention if we retired through the army. I am not saying I am going to do it, just something to think about. It would be good for me psysically and financially. I am just scared about going to basic and what if I get deployed. Its a big huge scary thing to think about...

Excitement Much?

So there is much excitement going on in my family. My brother called me last night with very exciting news, He is going to be a Daddy. He sounded so happy so I told him I was happy for him. I was also excited cause I was the first one he told, me and my brother were always pretty close, and lately we kinda were drifting because we are growing up and have our own lives, but I was so excited, and we he called me I had just left a car dealership in mine and Christopher's new car, its used of course but new to us. It is a 2002 VW Passat. I like it and we did it through a miles program that the military has to offer. We went to a lot of dealerships first before deciding, and we didn't see anything within our budget and some of the guys were trying to rip us off. We got a good deal on this one though and we only pay 75 dollars a month for insurance, we got GEICO and they live to work with Active Duty military because they are government insurance, its cheaper in Hawaii then California because I can only drive so far, once we move off the Island, our policy will have to change. I am really excited, we can actually get around and I can go to my interview at the Seagull academy. I also payed off a lot of my bills and cut up my Target card, we don't have target here so why pay on something I can't use and get myself into more debt. So I am working on getting that and my Capital one free and clear. I have spending problems, but I am slowly but surely realizing I can't do that anymore cause my parents aren't going to fix it anymore. Well on happier notes, I talked to my dad and he said that him and my mom are excited about the new little baseball fan to come, which is so awesome, and I am also hoping for a boy, my mom wants a grandson and I don't plan on having one for a long time so we can only hope for a boy, a girl would be good too though, just as long as it is happy and healthy. My dad also informed me that my mom got her coconut postcard I sent her, and when I say coconut, I mean it, it was a postcard painted on a coconut. I was worried that it wouldn't get there in once peice, but it did. I thought it was funny. I am sending them a little box out soon that has stuff for my mom, my dad, and my grandpa, I have a turtle necklace for Carolynn, I just have to find something for Catherine and Jenny. I got offered a house about 10 miles from base, it was really nice, but far from everything, so we decided to wait and get a house actually on the base, so we got offered one pretty close to where Lanette lives and it should be ready on the 29th. Its a 2 bedroom and its on the second floor, so its pretty much the same as my friend's house. I am pretty excited, now that I am getting bills paid and whatnot things are starting to look up. When Christopher gets home we have to go get our car registered with the base and get the base stickers for the winsheild, thats pretty much all the excitement for now, good news from everywhere, my dad said Jenny might have the job at the prison, so I am hoping on that for her. :)

Weekend Warriors and Our best friends...
So my weekend was pretty fun. Friday Christopher got off early and Lanette's husband Phillip was off, so when Christopher got home we all went to the NEX in Pearl City, It was huge. It made the PX look so small. Well we walked around there for a while and I got another season of FRIENDS on dvd, so now I have seasons 5, 6, 7, and 9. I still have a lot to get. Season 7 has my favorite episodes in it. "The one where Rosita dies" is pretty funny, it's the one where Rachel brakes Joey's chair and Monica gets the Porche. Also a funny one is when Rachel teaches Ben a bunch of practical jokes. I love the show, I wish they would make a movie like they did with Sex and the City, but then again why ruien a good thing. Lanette watches sex and the City, she has all the seasons, I tried watching it, but can't find myself getting into it. Well after the NEX we came home and hung out and some friends came over and we played more Rock Band. Then Saturday I cleaned and did some laundry and in the evening me and Lanette went with our friend Amy to Chili's for lunch, then met all our husbands at the movies to see Batman. It was really good, I liked it a lot. It made me sad though cause Heath Ledger was so good in it, I had a crush on him when I saw him in the movie 10 things I hate about you. Well then we came home and hung out and watched friends. Sunday we got up early and went to the swap meet that they have every sunday at the Aloha Stadium (its where they have the Pro Bowl) it was fun I walked around and ate fresh cut pineapple, it was so good. I never had such a juicy pineapple before. I bought a Lei for a dollar and a flower necalace and a keychain for 3 bucks. I had fun. Then we had another FRIENDS night and hung out. Yesterday Lanette's mom made us her special french fries and they were really good. Tomorrow I am going to go apply at the Elementary school on base cause they are hiring for teacher's aids. Thats all the excitement my way. I'll try and keep up better on this.

I miss my Mom!
Today my friend let her use her car to run some errands.
Me and Christopher went back over to housing because our friends say you gotta bug and bug just like you would do for a job you wanted. Well he said he's trying his best and we are first priority because we are new and pretty much homeless. So he said hopefully within 2 weeks. Well earlier today when we did that Christopher was driving the El Comino, I won't drive it because its a damn boat and I am too scared to back it up. Its not my ESCAP that's for sure. Well I wasn't feeling well, so we came back to the house and I laid down and watched Friends, I was feeling better, but then it hit Christopher really hard. Well thats when I was talking to Lanette on the phone and she said I could use her ultima, a lot easier for me to drive, to go to the commisary cause I wanted to get some food and sodas for the house as well as some medicine. Well I went to the commisary and not to sound lame, but I was so excited cause it was the first time going to the commisary to go grocery shopping by myself. As I was doing it, I missed doing it with my mom, going to the Staters then going to eat fajitas. It made me a little homesick, but at the same time I was excited. I got some milk, TP, Ramen, Cereal, soda, chips, and some other stuff all for like 50 bucks. I thought it was going to be like way more. Then I went to the PX and got some medicine and a blanket cause it got really cold last night, I seriously have seen the sun out and shining maybe twice since I have been here. I am tired of this huricanes, they bug. Oh well though, when I was in the desert I prayed for rain, now I got it didn't I. Thats all that really happened today.

GIVE ME A HOUSE DAMNIT!
So Hawaii is pretty amazing.
It is still overwhelming. We were living out of a hotel, and it was costing us so much money, so we knew some friends that got stationed here at Schofield, and they have been so kind as to let us stay with them and even let us use on of their cars to get to places around post. We are on the waiting list for housing and hoping to get housing near them because they are really awesome people, there is Phil and his wife Leanette, and they have a 3 year old son Jacob. I have not met Leanette yet, she is in Texas until monday but I have talked to her over the phone and Phil told me here myspace and I can't wait to meet her, I can tell we are gonna get along pretty well. Then there is our friend Chase, he stays with them too because he is going through a divorce, he's a really nice guy who's wife completely screwed him over. Its been pretty fun staying with them, we play a lot of Rock Band. The guys also play a lot of shooting games on Phil's Xbox. We all get along good, we eat a lot of Papa John's pizza cause we are all living the army soldiers and army wives lifestyle, wich means CHEAP!! I went to the PX today and got some soda for their house and some snacks, Leanette and I seem to be FRIENDS fans so I got another season of it on DVD for us to watch when she comes home, so now I have seasons 5 and 9 so if you want to help add to my colection when I get my house it will be greatly appreciated since I am not gonna have cable for a little bit. Anyways thats all the excitement really going on with me. I am liking Hawaii now that I know people. Oh yeah and Phil's car that Christopher has been driving is an El Camino, and it is bright orange, and seeing him drive this thing makes me laugh so hard. Just picture it, see... its funny isn't it. I do however miss everyone in California, my dad told me one of my dogs has been limping really bad so I am kinda worried about him.

Life in Hawaii

Living in Hawaii is pretty crazy.
Its like amazingly pretty.
I arrived here on Thursday and got to watch the Sunset on the water from the airplane. It was pretty amazing. So far its been a lot of walking and cabs. Cabs are killing us. It cost over 100 bucks to get from the airport to our hotel. It sucks. Its making me poor. At first we were staying at the Mohaka Resort, then the army found us something cheaper and more into the city and moved us to the Hokele Suites, its pretty nice, like 3 feet from the beach and it has a kitchen with a stove in our room. The beach is really nice and blue. The flowers here are pretty too. I love putting them in my hair. Here they serve Rice with everything, in California I was used to Johnny D's asking me if I wanted hashbrowns or homefries, well here they ask if you want hashbrowns or rice, its crazy. And oh my gosh, they litterally sell Krispy Kremes outside of peoples trucks for 10 bucks a box cause there are none here, I thought that was so funny. The cab driver was amazed that where we are from you can get them in your local grociery stores. Well thats all for now, I do need to find a Verizonwireless store though so I can get my phone replaced, cause my front screen went out, I can still get calls, it just can't tell me who is calling.
I think tomorrow we are going to take the free trolly around Waikki. So I will try and get some more pictures up tomorrow, its hard to get internet where I am at. ALHOHA....
